Hip Anonymous....
 

we're about funk, groove and interplay, mixing many styles of music into a cool funky stew.   We do instrumental originals and covers in a very creative way, conjuring up little surprises here and there.

 

Paul Cummings : electric guitar, composer, enabler, pathfinder for the unique.  3 independently produced CD's with various area bands since the 90's.  Paul has opened for such unique musicians as ECM recording artist and sonic exploration world music guitarist, Steve Tibbets, avant-garde/free-jazz multi-wind-instrumentalist, Hal Russell as well as Boston's own, Either/Orchestra.  Prior bands include: The Alternate Quartet, Phat Funk Unit, Three Day Break, Groovelator and others. 

Phil Selesnick  :  has been playing keyboards for most of his life, in bands ranging in styles from jazz to funk to celtic to reggae. For the past ten years he's mostly been playing around the Northeast with singer-songwriter Ross Livermore and acoustic-jam act Sarah Blacker & Aaron Katz..

Steve Davis : electric bass, berklee, motown, gigs with rock, funk and world music bands such as, Atlas Soul, Hot  Mess, Regie Gibson, Justin Beech, Perry Bakalos Group and many others.  King of pocket!

 

Nadjim Kebir  : Drummer, groove maker and general noise instigator. Gigs with jazz/funk/fusion/world music bands in the boston area, some international tours. On the web, serial instagram drummer.

John Vaillancourt : saxophonist, multi-reedman, wind synthesizer, composer, arranger, audio engineer, freelance performer with many groups, several recordings to date. 

Brian Koning : trumpet, composer, and music educator in the Ashland school system. Brian can also be heard around the metro west area playing with the Worcester Jazz Collective., among others.

Richard Graham : Latin and African percussion and world music aficionado and educator, Lincoln Center, world travels.

 

Tony Erwin : tenor, alto and soprano saxophones.  Central Mass jazzer and R+B wailer with loads of personality!
